I just got this Vintage 1999 chronograph today.

Last watch before the new year. This one replaces a steel ‘99 I had and sold a few years ago. (Brauner, Nicolas-I know how you feel). This is just about the perfect watch. GP has always been excellent with their casework but in my mind the 1999 and 1945 A

Underappreciated Girard-Perregaux’s from the 1990s – Part III: Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1996 Chronograph 4930

Friends, It’s time to continue our little series of hidden GP gems from the 90s with Part III. I actually have shifted the order from what I had planned initially as for the watch I planned for Part III, some additional information may become available in

Girard-Perregaux Tourbillon in three colours

Ok, only an engraved Tourbillon cage, but still... In 1994 Girard-Perregaux launched the "Vintage" collection. The intention was to release a modern version of a historic piece from the GP museum every year as a limited edition and in exclusive finishing

A deeper look at the Girard-Perregaux 4946 Chronograph and its origins

Friends, It is time to take out one of my favourites in my collection and have a closer look at it. We are going back to the year 1999, when the Vintage 1999 Chronograph 4946 was conceived. Although it appeared first in the Year 2000 catalogue, we could a

I share your G-P passion and wish I had some more, especially a ref: 2520

Thank you for showing all these models. I add a couple of my Richevilles to the mix, both of which I love with their red touches. Ref: 2730 Ref; 2510

Girard-Perregaux’s modern Richeville line

Friends, I have always been a huge fan of the modern Richeville line, in fact, the Richeville is the watch that infected me with the GP bug, hence it is such an important piece for me. Back in 1997 when I was really not very knowledgeable and only owned o

Reference 4946, 4945 and 4930

Hello, wow, you really dug out an old post. For a moment I thought Nilo just bought a new GP, well, perhaps now that you reminded him... So a couple of clarifications as this has been asked a few times before. Ref 4946, also called the Vintage 1999 Chrono

Richeville's from 1999/2000

I prefer CC's ref: 2520's bezel, which is similar to my ref: 2730 giving them both a more vintage look, enhanced on CC's by the Arabic numbers on the black dial. I do like my ref 2510, which retains the curved lugs of the ref 2520. The date on mine of cou

Richevilles 2730 and 2510

Here is an old picture of my two, which are regularly on my wrist. They are always admired. I think the 2730 case is better looking than its later replacement. In both I very much like the G-P's splash of red and the applied gilt logo on the 2510. Clive T

Hi! Wearing my ref: 2510 this week. Steel curved case and crystal. RG gilt bezel and crown. RED date! Beautiful blued hands. Applied gilt GP logo under 12. Very accurate and much admired watch. One of my favourites. Next week will be the turn for my ref:
